We were very sad to hear Dave lost his battle with cancer. We're so glad he got to go on that last Alaska fishing trip that made him so happy and to have had the wonderful years with Pattie that he did. Pattie you're in our thoughts and prayers.

What to say...friends for twenty years, living together for 15 years, and husband and wife for 13 years. Thank you for loving me and providing me with such a big, wonderful life. I will always remember your kindness, generosity, twisted humor and zest for adventure. I will love and remember you always. Rest well, my sweet David.

We will miss you so much. Your smile and laughter. Dinners out, playing cards, or LRC and Happy Hour's. Your time with Pattie was WAY to short. We promise to be there for her.

David, you were the best brother a sister could ever ask for. Always there when I needed you and listening with an open heart and mind. Best Friend. We solved the world problems, and had so many good times. Laughed, sometimes cried, and enjoyed great wine. Thank you for being in my life. You took with you a piece of my heart. You will be missed and loved forever.

My dear friend and fellow in-law, it was a true honor and delight to have been a participant in your life and adventures. My most treasured memories include our many travels with you and Pattie ... I loved our camping trips and hikes - I just know that we would have bested Mike on our next journey to the top of Black Butte! Thank you for sharing your neighborhood goblins with me on Halloween. I will miss our annual trip to Discovery Bay, eating your delicious grilled pork chops and drinking fine wine with you as Pattie, Mike and Kimmie share their funny stories about growing up in the Hollamon household. I will miss our spirited conversations about current events and politics. I will miss your jaunty tilt of the head and exaggerated eye roll which Linda tells me is a shared family trait :) Most of all, I will miss the quiet thoughtfulness and generous heart that is simply you. Thank you for loving my Michael and being our most supportive friend over these 30+ years. Thank you for showering my beautiful sister in heart Pattie with deep, all encompassing love that she can hold in her heart for eternity. You were truly a prince among men and I will miss you so very much <3

You will never know just how much you truly meant to us, Dave. If I had a dime for every time...I so often stand at the kitchen window, looking across the patio, and envision your face just over the top of the fence. Until the day we move I will. Oh, the memories we have with you. When we put up Christmas lights, cuz' we put them on your house that 1st year while you were at work; Siltcoos; Takenitch; train trestles. Catfish...oh yes, catfish. I made Mike "thoroughly" clean each and every one we kept that day looking for your wedding ring. All the dates with you and Pattie, especially the breakfasts in Old Town. Your smile; your laugh; your calm and caring demeanor. So many things. I thank you for the time we had together, Dave, and want you to know that I will not stand at your grave and weep.
