We are so sorry to hear that Kathy is no longer with us. She has left us all with sadness in our hearts and especially her family who has been through a lot during the past few months.
Being a rookie co-worker of Kathy at the IRS, I can tell you that she always cared about helping those less fortunate get their taxes prepared for free. Kathy was my mentor at work and she loved to help low income people get their tax returns filed and she took to the various events in the area promoting free services to low income/homeless people. She just loved to prepare someone's tax return to find out that they were entitled to a huge refund and the taxpayer would just say how delighted they were to get a big refund and then also break out crying as they were told that they had a big refund.
Your kindness and helping attitude will be remembered for ever.

I cannot begin to tell you how much you will be missed. Such an honor to share a stage with you. The confidence I got from working with you and the knowledge you had and shared. We could do anything together, you had more knowledge in your finger. But we had one thing in common. Help the public for the good of all, and did we ever. What a proud example of a human being you where. So much energy I never gave a thought to your leaving, and now this. I have a lot of friends and God knows we were popular. I loved few as much as you. I’ll say good bye now, but I will never forget or get over you my friend

Just one of her many coworkers at the IRS. Kathy was a sweet, lovely person and a pleasure to work with. So sad she is gone. She will surely be missed by her many friends and family.

I'm so very sad to learn of Kathy's passing. A bunch of us had a neighborhood group when we were little. Kathy and Kenny lived only a few houses away. We met when we were about 2. My mom invited Eileen, K & K's mom, to bring them over for my second birthday party, (I still have the gift tags with their names on them!!) From there it was just fun, growing up together, playing in each other's yards, riding our bikes everywhere, and in those days you could; no helmets or padding, no parents worried. We played marbles, giggled over boys, and walked to and from school together, North Powellhurst, grades 1-6, which was only a block or so away. I had grades 1 & 5 with Kenny and 2 & 4 with Kathy. Their dad, Ted, coached the little league baseball team that all the guys, plus more, in the neighborhood played for. Some time after grade school they moved to another district. We kinda lost touch till high school, but she was always in my heart and thoughts. After all, she was my very first best friend. She also had the cutest smile!
I will miss you more than ever now my long time friend, since we can't do lunch or just hang out!! I'm so sorry we didn't get a chance to really re-connect, but we sure had fun at our 40th reunion, huh!!? Dancing all night and laughing about stuff. But it's all good now girl. You're out of pain and in Heaven with His arms wrapped around you, your mom, dad and hubby beside you. Rest in Peace my dear. We had Some fun!! Love you ❤

I met Kathy through work 40 years ago and we’ve continued to be friends over all these years. We shared several work trips and our families got to know each other. We were texting just a few weeks ago so this is just such a shock.
What I mourn is not what was but the time and experiences her grandchildren will be missing. They were the light of her life. Rest In Peace Kathy.

We are so saddened with the passing of Kathy, and are so grateful for getting to know her as part of our lives through the years. She continually treated Jen, our kids Lily & Nash, and myself as part of her and Alan’s family.
You will be forever in hearts,
The Tyler’s
