Obituary of John Raymond Reid
John Raymond Reid, age 57 of Milwaukie, Oregon died Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
John was known to his family and friends as Big John, Little John, Johnny, Uncle Johnny, JR, and a few others.
He was a truck driver and warehouseman by profession and more than an avid outdoorsman.
John was born September 18, 1962 the youngest son of the late John and Leta Reid. He is survived by his long-time partner Leslie Jensen and her son Tyler, his older brothers Kenneth, Terry, and Randy, his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family members and a multitude of friends.
John loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors so much he saw his day job as the means to get him where he belonged, outside. John was always in a good mood and could always be counted on to help with anything. He always had a new joke or two and could usually be found at gatherings by following the sound of laughter.
His laughter, generosity, kindness, and good nature will be missed by all who knew him. The world will laugh a whole lot less without John in it.
We are filled with sadness but John leaves us smiling through our tears.
Although we are left wanting a million more moments with John, he left us with even more precious memories of him.
