Obituary of Sandra Anabella Macfarlane

Sandra was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She moved to Miami, Florida in 2000. While there, she met and fell in love with Michael Macfarlane. They married on the beach in Miami, December 12, 2004 and moved to Portland in January 2007. In January 2009, Sandra and Michael lived their dream and opened their own restaurant. Sandra was passionate about food and made delicious chimichurri. She also loved fashion, gardening and animals, adopting three cats and one dog. Sandra was the life of the party, always smiling and laughing. She and Michael traveled across the United States and up into Canada, before settling in Portland. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael, and sisters Natalia Aquino (Fabian) and Magela Aquino (Sebastian) and her mother, Walkira Benitez. She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Caceres. She will be missed by her mother, sisters, nieces, the entire Macfarlane clan and her many, many friends. A memorial service has been held in Portland, Oregon. There will be another service in Miami at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Oregon Humane Society.
