Obituary of Blissina Evelyn Gulvin
Blissina Evelyn Gulvin, 93, passed away March 19th in Salem, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Tangent August 14, 1918, she and her Mother narrowly survived the Spanish Flu. Raised in small Oregon towns, including Independence and Falls City. In September 1939 she married Robert Gulvin, raising two children, Janice and Douglas, in Vernonia and Sandy. She was an office manager for the Oregon Forest Service. Later they moved to Gales Creek. She relocated to Salem to be near Jan and son-in-law, Tim Kral, continuing her loving relationship with Doug and wife Dora.
Blissina's strong spiritual nature, humor, open intelligent outlook on life, and accepting nature brought her many friends and admirers (including animals). She doted on granddaughter Jessica, great-granddaughter Maya, and nieces, nephews and children. A celebration of life is pending. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center - Salem.
