Obituary of Walter LeSieur Peters

Walter LeSieur Peters was born on April 27, 1929 in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in Metzger and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Lewis and Clark College. In October of 1955, he married Shirlee Ann Stewart. Walter was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of several organizations including the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shriners, and Amaranth & Royal Rosarians. For enjoyment he loved to spend time in the outdoors and go camping and fishing. He was also a great square-dancing partner with Shirlee. Survived by Walter are his daughter, Pamela M. Parkhurst and husband Martin of Portland; sister, Margaret Elliott and husband Kenneth of Hermiston; nephews Fred Elliott (Cindy), Steve Elliott (Chris); 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his daughter Eileen and wife Shirlee. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 23rd at the Tigard Masonic Lodge, 13680 SW Pacific Highway.
