Obituary of Walter LeSieur Peters
Walter LeSieur Peters was born on April 27, 1929 in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in Metzger and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Lewis and Clark College. In October of 1955, he married Shirlee Ann Stewart. Walter was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of several organizations including the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shriners, and Amaranth & Royal Rosarians. For enjoyment he loved to spend time in the outdoors and go camping and fishing. He was also a great square-dancing partner with Shirlee.
Survived by Walter are his daughter, Pamela M. Parkhurst and husband Martin of Portland; sister, Margaret Elliott and husband Kenneth of Hermiston; nephews Fred Elliott (Cindy), Steve Elliott (Chris); 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his daughter Eileen and wife Shirlee.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 23rd at the Tigard Masonic Lodge, 13680 SW Pacific Highway. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Hospital Transportation. Online condolences may be sent at www.ANewTradition.com, Crown-Tualatin.
