Obituary of Richard D. Mero
He was born in Morris, Minnesota, December 29, 1928 the son of Richard D. Mero and Edith (Welfare) Mero. Baptism June 6, 1929. He graduated Morris High school and he served his Country in the US ARMY from 1951 -1956. He lived in California where he worked in Contruction and then found his passion for training horses. In 1969 he moved to Oregon. He trained and competed in many different areas of the horse industry through the US and Canada.
Survived by: Sister LuElla Shanahan, Daughters Leslie Maynard and Sandra Tye, Grandchildren Justin Stritzke, Jordan Tye and Jessica Tye, Richard Joseph, Andrew R, Tristan Phillip, Meghan Anna, Elaina, Audrey and Rena Irene. His great-grandchildren, Dominique, Davina, Eleanore and Henry.
Preceded in Death by Mother Edith Mero, Father Richard Mero, Brother Kenneth (Jim) Mero, Son Richard W. (Rick) Mero and great-grandson Dion.
