Obituary of James Luke Penkert
Jim was born in Portland, Oregon to James and Ruby on January 17, 1956 and passed away in Oregon City, Oregon on March 4, 2012. He leaves behind his wife Becky, children James, Jason, Katie and Kevin, parents Ruby, Dick and James and grandchildren Lilly and Jack.
Jim loved spending time with his family. He loved family camp - outs, holidays, BBQ's, riding his motorcycle and watching the Seattle Seahawks with Doug. He also loved going to the Cotton Festival and spending time with his family in Texas. He worked for Clackamas County for 27 years and was currently a Maintenance Supervisor for WES.
Jim was in the 1st Cavalary Tank Division and served from 1974 to 1977. He was stationed at Fort Hood Texas, had a Medal as a Sharpshooter and was Honorably discharged. Jim was proud of his service in the Military.
