Obituary of Marilyn Ritterhoff Kelly

Marilyn Kelly, aka Mary, of Lake Oswego, a retired business owner, died Feb. 24, 2012 at Providence-Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City, ORat age 86. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mary grew-up with her parents and two sisters in White Bear Lake, MN. Both sisters, Beatrice Miller and Jane Brick, pre-deceased her. After marrying Wayne Kelly in 1948, the couple initially moved to Portland, OR, followed by a move to Spokane,WA. They returned to Oregon, settling down in Lake Oswego where they lived for 50+ years. In 1968 the couple started a family business. Wayne passed away in Mauiin 2008, when the couple was on vacation. Mary is survived by her two children, Michael Kelly and his wife, Cheryl, of Oregon City, OR; Kit Kelly Laam and her husband, Steve, of Corvallis, OR; her grandson, Ben Smith, and great grand daughter, Jennifer Ann. Mary loved: Family, friends, flowers, Maui, the ocean, sailing and her lifelong commitment to GOD. She will be greatly missed by many. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, at St. James Episcopal Church, 11511 S.W. Bull Mt. Rd., Tigard, OR 97224. The family suggests donations be made in Mary’s name to Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon, or St. James Episcopal Church.
