I never saw Nathan Jackson without a smile and he was always lending a helping hand. I will always remember that he taught my nephew, Ray, how to tie a tie. Nathan Jackson was very special to Ray. The Jackson family can be so proud. Men like Nathan Jackson are a rare breed.

Nathan was such a friendly, kind and helpful child of God. It just showed in how he carried himself, spoke and spread the love of God. I enjoyed getting to know him some when we co chaired the New Players Committee of the Northwestern Section of The American Bridge Association. He was devoted to his wife Lois and family. I will miss him much and pray God's sustaining love for the family. Charlotte

The thoughts and prayers of Vancouver Avenue are with the Jackson Family now and always. You have both been an enriching blessing to us all in words and deeds. While this loss is so difficult to take, God knows what He's doing--He always does. We, who are in Christ, have the blessed assurance that we will be reunited with him again one day. Revelation 21:3-4: "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." May our God with healing and restorative power be with you now and always. Pastor H.

I know Nathan as a very sweet and gentle man. He was always busy and enjoyed doing work around the house and kept the yard in showcase condition. He enjoyed his family and church and loved to take Lois to Red Lobster for lunch. Nathan had this wonderful, infectious smile that made you feel good after talking to him and it never faded even though he was so ill. I always felt that if I needed help I could always call on him. I will treasure the memory I have of Nathan.

Uncle Nathan was one of the most spiritual men I knew. He was also a fun loving person. He was always the same no matter what. I loved him dearly and will miss him, but I have no doubt he is asleep in Jesus arms awaiting the second coming. I hope Aunt Los and my cousins take comfort in the fact that he is with Christ. Till we meet again rest from your labours,Uncle Nathan.

Our wonderful friend has gone home to be with the Lord and he will be truly missed. Dad Jackson was never a stranger to anyone and made everyone welcome in his home. He always had a joke to tell, and words of wisdom when needed. Dad, you are absent from the body, but present with the Lord. We will live to see you one day.
