Jack Roth

Obituary of Jack William Roth

Jack Wm. Roth born December 12, 1916, peacefully passed away February 9, 2012 at Parkside Adult Care Home, where he was lovingly cared for. He was 95 years old. Loved by many, he was an honorable man, complex and principled, innately irascible and opinionated. Insatiably curious and studiously self-educated, a simple but brilliant man. Kind and generous, yet demanding fairness and justice. He had a keen interest in rock hounding, body building, words, books, poetry, history, gardening, loved a good debate, and tanning in the sun. Married for 45 years, he shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Ginger. He leaves behind his wife, Ginger, a son, Jeffrey and a daughter, Cathy, by his first marriage, and a large blended family of dearly loved friends and Ginger’s children, which were all considered his own. He was proud of having nine great grandchildren. His absence will be felt by all. There will be a celebration of life/open house at his home in Milwaukie, Oregon on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 11am-6pm.
