Remembering the happy times; the mischievous fun shared when he was just 17 and "courting" Leslie... While goofing off, he accidentally hit me in the face with the garden sheers-- chipping my front tooth! I enjoyed reminding him of this every chance I got. It made him smile that endearing, mischievous smile!

Dad, I miss you a lot . Someone asked me about the songs I memorized and the first song I ever memorized was in Okinawa (The Green Beret Song). The funny thing I got asked shortly after the funeral. Now my mind is stuck on the verse which starts out with the words, "with his dying words he said, make my son a Green Beret, let him fight among the brave. He will know what he must do... Make my son one of America's best". Dad, you have, I will and I do. Love you very much Dad. When I pop it's going to be a gusher. I'll do my best to keep your legacy strong and true for your name sake. Love you Dad. Stay close. I know your with God and we'll see each other soon.
