Obituary of Patricia Lee Smith
Patricia Lee “Pat” Smith passed away after a brief illness on November 3rd, 2011 in Portland, Oregon. She was born Patricia Black on February 13th, 1945 in Los Angeles, California and was raised primarily in Oregon, where her family moved in 1947. She graduated from Molalla High School. On March 10th, 1982 she and Wilbert Lee Smith were joined in marriage in Bend, Oregon. A homemaker, she enjoyed panning for gold, coin hunting and fishing. She will be deeply missed by many.
Patricia is survived by her husband Wilbert Lee Smith of Redmond, Oregon, and by her daughter Sheryl Curby of Bend, Oregon. She is further survived by her sister Eva Alexander of McMinnville, Oregon, and by her nephew David Spencer of McMinnville and niece Janet Davidson of Amity, Oregon. Melissa Walker, her great-niece, resides in Dayton, Oregon. Patricia is further survived by four grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hopewell House, whose work and empathic care were of great comfort to Patricia and her family.
