Obituary of C. Chipper Steward
Clifford Ray "Chipper" Steward, 49, of Wolf Creek died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Wolf Creek Alliance Community Church.
Crown Memorial Center in Portland is in charge of cremation arrangements. Contributions and cards for the family may be sent to the Wolf Creek Teen Center, P.O. Box 233, Wolf Creek, OR 97497.
Chipper was born Dec. 29, 1961, in Canyonville, OR to Earl Selby "Nip" Steward and Joyce Virginia Carlton. He worked as a logger and mechanic and enjoyed outdoor activities. When he was younger, he worked in Alaska for several years.
Survivors include his partner and mother of his four younger children, Shelly Scott; three daughters, Kimberly Smith of Alaska, and Shelby and Anjeanette Steward, both of Grants Pass; two sons, Selby and Corey Steward, both of Wolf Creek; three sisters, Merri Dawn, Sherrie and Chrissy; and two brothers, Bruce Hattrick and Scott Steward.
