Obituary of Olive Bessie Beebe

Olive Bessie Beebe, 99, passed away on October 23, 2011 in Sherwood. Olive was born on February 24, 1912 in Petaluma, California. She was raised in Petaluma and in the early 1920’s moved with her family to Point Arena, California. On February 8, 1931 in Santa Rosa, California, Olive married Elijah W. Beebe. Olive worked for 25 years as a Nurse’s Aide at Sonoma County Hospital in Santa Rosa and on her personal time she enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycle riding, landscaping, oil painting, bingo and reading. In 1982 and after the death of her husband, Olive moved to Oregon.
Olive is survived by her sons Ron Beebe (wife, Harriet) of Alford, Florida, Jon Beebe (wife, Kathy) of Sherwood; brother Frank Mason of Gualala, California; 7 grandchildren Steven Myers of Beaverton, Susan Rodenback of Alford, Florida, Brian Beebe of Texas, Alexandra Beebe of California, Mickey Beebe of McMinnville, Laura Opel of Aloha and David Beebe of Sherwood; 12 great grandchildren Kevan Skeels of Oregon, Shawna Skeels of Oregon, Jenna Opel of Oregon, Cameron Beebe of Oregon, Dominick Beebe of Oregon, Christian Beebe of Florida, Katelyn Beebe of Florida, Sean Beebe of California, Seth Beebe of California, Rynn Cantrell of Florida, Linsey Rodenback of Florida and Sam Rodenback of Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 5th at Cedar Creek Assisted Living in Sherwood. Online condolences may be made at www.anewtradition.com. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
