Obituary of Lois Kathleen Hosmer
Lois was born to Hetty and Richard Robinson in Portland, Oregon and passed away in Aurora, Oregon at the age of 87. Raised in Salem, Oregon she graduated from Salem High School in 1941, and went on to obtain her BS in biology from Willamette University in 1945. On January 17th, 1953 she and Kenneth L. Hosmer were joined in marriage. Lois had worked as a teacher and an office worker--she was also a homemaker with two children to raise. She enjoyed hiking, swimming, gardening, music and travel. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon and later attended the First Presbyterian Church in Woodburn, Oregon. She was also involved with the Wilsonville Senior Center.
Lois is survived by her son Randall (Donna) A. Hosmer of Naperville, Illinois and daughter Kathleen (Craig) A. Jaeger of West Linn, Oregon. She is further survived by four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Hosmer.
A Memorial Service for Lois will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon.
