Obituary of Blaine Ray McMillan

Blaine Ray McMillan died on October 9th, 2011 in Portland, OR. He was 64. Born February 5th, 1947 in Athens, Tennessee, he went on to an active, adventurous and fulfilling life. A civil engineer by trade, he enjoyed reading, scuba diving, spear fishing, backpacking and cycling. A world traveler, he was a real life “Indiana Jones” to his family and friends. He was also a devoted member of the Bahá'í Faith. Blaine is survived by his daughters Amata (Brian) McMillan of Portland, OR and Josie (Pele) Faleafine of Santa Ana, CA and by his sons Kimo McMillan and Cole Aaron Welsh, both of Kai-lua, Kona, HI. He is also survived by his grandchildren Seala and Prince Andre Booker of Bend, OR, and Moana Faleafine of Santa Ana, CA. He is also survived by his sister June McMillan-Jaquish and nephews William, John & James Jaquish, all of Richland, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Wilma McMillan, and by his twin sister Elaine Faye McMillan. A private family service is to be held at Hug Point, Cannon Beach, Oregon. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Jaquish-Dukelow Memorial Cancer Research Guild. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Portland.
