Obituary of Michael Dan McLaughlin
Michael was born in Illinois and lived most of his adult life in Oregon City, Oregon. He was a Vietnam veteran and received his high school diploma from Camp Zama, Japan where he was stationed with the Army. He spoke fluent Japanese and knew the streets of Tokyo from working in the Postal division. He enjoyed Indy race cars, and was an avid reader. He had an interest in botany and had a green thumb growing plants everywhere. Michael inspired compassion in every one he met, and we are all better people because of his gentle, humble life. He passed away in his home, quietly, with his friends in attendance. He is survived by his brother John, daughter Christine Wells and grandchildren Tristen and Alex. Michael will be missed but never forgotten.
