Obituary of Robert Larson Freeman

Robert Larson Freeman, 68, died on August 1, 2009 in Beaverton, Oregon. Robert was born to Marjorie and John Freeman on September 15, 1940, in Spokane, WA. He travelled a lot as a child while his father was a minister, and attended high school in Lyons, Wisconsin. At the age of 17, Robert went into the Navy, and following the Navy, he moved to Tigard to be near his family. He began working construction in the Tigard area, and in 1964, he married Barbara Bergmann and the couple had 3 children. Some of Robert’s interests included boating, trains, the outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He had an active imagination and was very inquisitive about machinery. Since 2000, Robert has been happily devoted to his companion, Nancy Sumpter. Robert is survived by his companion, Nancy Sumpter; daughter, Kathy Hughs; sons, Douglas Freeman and David Freeman; brother, James Freeman and grandchild, Jordan Freeman.
