Obituary of Harold Edward Brakebush
Hal, a WWII vet, loved life, his faith and family, his country, and music. He was a life-long resident of Portland, a real estate salesman for over 50 years, a CYO coach, and a song composer. He graduated from Benson High School, served in the air force and earned a degree from the University of Portland while starting his family. He was married for 39 years to Eleanor, mother of Paul and Coral. After her death he married Patricia, who died last year. He is survived by his son and daughter, 9 grandchildren and soon-to-be 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be at 10am, October 13 at Ascension Catholic Church followed by burial with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery. The family is grateful to Hopewell House for their wonderful care of Hal.
