Obituary of Clara Louise Trucks

Born and raised in Renton & Kent Washington, she moved to St. Helens in 1945. Clara attended McBride Elementary then graduated St. Helens High School in 1956. She married her husband, Alfred “Skip” Trucks, the same month: June 23, 1956. They moved to Seattle, WA and had 4 daughters there. In the early ‘60’s, the family moved to the California Bay Area. Clara and her husband moved to Florida in the early 1990’s where Alfred died in 2001; Clara moved back to St. Helens in 2002. During all those years she was a devoted Christian. For enjoyment, Clara liked to draw; she won 12 ribbons and 1 trophy for her drawings the Columbia County Fair in 2004. Clara is survived by her daughters; Elizabeth Meador of Des Moines, WA, Mary Margaret Barnes of Kent, WA, Katherine Massey of Portland, Denise Tejan-Peters of Hawaii, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, her mother; Minnie Brooks in 1968 and her father; Dewey Brooks in 1964. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:30 pm at the Columbia River Foursquare Church at 555 Commons Dr. in St. Helens.
