Obituary of Daniel Guy Zuber
Daniel Guy Zuber, 72, of Forest Grove, OR, died at home on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. He was born in Chicago, IL. He was raised in Indiana and graduated from Griffith High School in 1957. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and served our country for 9 years as a radar instructor. As a civilian, he had careers in both management and security. Being of an independent nature, he began his own locksmith business and a T-shirt design business. In 1985, he moved to Oregon with his wife, Rebecca. He had a passion for drawing, crossword puzzles, reading, race horses and beer. He’s remembered fondly by those lives he touched as a kind friend and neighbor.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 12 years, Rebecca; his brother Leslie Zuber; and his parents William and Eleanor Zuber.
He is survived by his daughters Patricia Turley of Lane, KS; Victoria Nordentoft of Wenatchee, WA; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and many friends.
He will be buried with full military honors at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
