Obituary of Paul Edward Brockmeier

Paul Edward Brockmeier was born October 24, 1930 in Portland, Oregon to Charles and Ethel Brockmeier. He died August 5, 2009 in Lake Oswego, Oregon with his family by his side. Paul graduated from OSU in Forestry and was a basketball Manger at Oregon State. In 1955, Paul married Suzanne Williams in Port Townsend. They settled in Lake Oswego in 1977. Paul served his country in the US Army; he was stationed in Europe while in the Army. He had a 40 year career with Crown Zellerbach Paper Corporation, and was located between Washington, Louisiana, California, and Oregon. Paul enjoyed Tennis and was a member of the US Tennis Association. He and his partner won first place in doubles for the Portland Public Parks in 1997. He was active in the Presbyterian Church and was one of the Elders in the church. Paul is Survived by his wife Suzanne, son James Ashley, daughter Laura Eldredge, granddaughters Ashley and Brittany Eldridge, sister Delight Goodwin, nephews Alan, David, and John Brockmeier, nieces Margaret Wetter ling and Jeanne Schultz. He was preceded by his brother Glenn Charles Brockmeier. A memorial will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, 4040 Sunset Drive, Lake Oswego, Oregon, 97035.
