Obituary of Darrell Mapes
Darrell "Robb" Mapes beloved son brother cousin partner and friend passed away Sunday evening October 11 2009. He would have celebrated his 42nd birthday on November 14th. [caption id="attachment_431" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Tresure and D. Robb"][/caption] Robb was born in Tillamook Oregon in 1967. From a early age Robb had an engaging grin and an ability to climb everything. He attended school in Dallas Oregon. Memories of Robb at this time are of all the things he did such as his prince phase his ability to bust a move such as break dancing and stunt motorcycling. Robb met his partner Christina Gotcher through friends over 11 years ago. Recently Robb told Christina "I think it’s almost time I made a honest women of you" with his low drawl and mischievous grin. Robb was a man of many talents including carpet laying and carpentry. Robb always had a project or hobby he was doing to help around the house. Robb loved being with his family and friends and was usually found in his shed aka his hangout. Robb found peace and relaxation through his ancient Native American rituals and his martial arts. "Aho ma taki asi"= hello all my relatives. His family and friends will celebrate his life at his home on Saturday October the 17th at 1PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crown Memorial Center – Salem.
