Roy N. Jacobsen

Graveside funeral services for long time former Silverton resident will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem. Mr. Jacobsen died on August 15, 2011 at the age of 92. Roy was born on February 1, 1919 in Whitehall, Wisconsin. He came to Oregon as a young man. He married Dorothy Robinson on December 5, 1942 in Toledo, Oregon. Roy and Dorothy moved to the Evans Valley area near Silverton where they lived for over 50 years. Roy was a member of the Masons and Founding member of the Silverton Elks Lodge. Dorothy passed away in 1997. Roy is survived by four children; Gail Kirsch of Salem, Gwen Hitt of Cottage Grove, Randy Jacobsen of Lyons, and Brent Jacobsen, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
