Obituary of Chester Kantor
Gladstone resident Chester "Chet" Kantor passed away on July 16, 2011. He was born to Harry and Elinor Kantor on June 16, 1930.
Chet lived a full, and varied, 81 years. He did just about everything in life that he wanted to do. He loved to take family members hunting and fishing, and he loved to travel, making it around the world several times. But more than anything else he loved to talk. This love led to a stint during the early days of talk radio in Portland. The only thing he could think of to put on his “bucket list” was to experience alligator hunting. We’re all relieved we didn’t have to go with him. Chet will be greatly missed by his wife of 41 years, Christine, his son Gregg, his daughters Kim and Taira, and his four grandchildren.
