Obituary of Arnold Ralph Denton

Arnold was born in Spearfish Nebraska and attended grade school there. He moved with his family to Albany Oregon where he graduated from Albany High School in 1953. Work history: In the Late 1950's Arnold worked for Albany Waverly motors, followed by Vanply lumber mill and driving a school bus for Albany High School. He continued his driving career as a professional driver for Pacific Trailways in Portland where he became the senior driver. When Pacific Trailways liquidated in 1987, Arnold drove for Trimet until his retirement. Family history: Arnold Denton and Carol J. Kaufman were married in Albany in 1955 and had two children together; Steven and Cynthia. After a divorce in 1981 Arnold met Vicki Gibbs and they formed a life relationship. She has three children; Laura , Dan, and LeAnne. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents Chester "Edwin" and Edith May Denton, and his siblings Donald L. Denton and Helen L Petersen. He is survived by his first family, Carol J. Taylor, son Steven R. Denton, daughter Cynthia K. Weatherby, grand children Jeremy Denton, Stephanie Buckhannon, Jennifer Samson, Rebecca Morris, and five great grand children. He is also survived by his second family, life partner Vicki Gibbs, her children Laura McGlothlin, Dan Gibbs, and Leanne Gibbs, and by six grand children. Arnie was a sweet wonderful man who always went out of his way to help others. He loved his family, and enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
