Obituary of Myron De Ray Winchester
Myron De Ray Winchester passed away on Monday, July 4th, 2011 in Beaverton, Oregon. He was 85 years of age. Born February 9th, 1926 in Portland, Oregon he attended Kenton Grade School and Jefferson High School. He was married and later divorced, and was a father as well. A professional truck driver, he enjoyed racing at Portland Speedway, bowling , camping and wood crafting. He loved to dance and especially enjoyed Big Band and Jazz music. He was a member of the Elk Club of Gateway. The most important part of his life was his love for his family, and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his ex-wife Patricia, and by his children Kathleen (Henry) Diem of Portland, OR, Marianne (Frank) Panter of Washington D.C., John (Joan) Winchester of Portland, OR and Karen (Harry) Striplin, also of Portland, OR. He is further survived by his grandchildren Raquel, Keith, Alexis, Megan, Lindsay, Cameron, Trent, Alex and Emily. One great-grandchild is soon to be born, and will be named Landon. He is also survived by his nephew Gregg Allen and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister and one brotherPer Myron’s request no service will be held. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.
