Obituary of Ronald Malcolm Koenig

June 7, 1936 – June 2, 2011 Ronald died June 2, 2011 from complications following surgery. He was born June 7, 1936 in Portland, but spent his formative years in Beaverton, OR. A graduate of Beaverton High School, Ronald went on to be the Quality Control Officer at View Master in Beaverton, which later became Tyco Mattel. On October 29, 1971 he had the good fortune to marry the lovely Pearl Darlene Vaughn. Ronald was a motorcycle rider, loved camping when he was younger, enjoyed travel, gardening, yard work and building with his hands. He is survived by his loving wife; Pearl of Tigard, OR, daughter; Leslie Koenig of Tigard, OR, sons; Ronald, Jr. of Gresham, OR and Christopher M. of Ethel, WA, stepsons; Rick Vanderhoof of Lascassas, TN and Randy Vanderhoof of Beavercreek, OR, and stepdaughter; Rhonda of Tigard, OR, plus 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service and reception will be on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Beaverton Christian Church located at 13600 SW Allen Boulevard in Beaverton. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Portland.
