Obituary of Leonard Warren Peck

Leonard Warren Peck passed away June 9th, 2011 in Salem, Oregon at the age of 82. Born January 8th, 1929 in Astoria, Oregon, he was raised primarily in California, moving back to his native Oregon in the early 1990s. He served his country as a soldier in the Army, Navy and Air Force, his duty totaling 23 years. After his career in the military he became a security guard, and in his free time enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, collecting videos, especially westerns. He was a member of People’s Church in Salem. He is survived by his nieces Donna Smith, Cindy Nichols, Sandy Boatman and Tammy Duke, all of Salem, OR. He is also survived by his niece and nephew Linda and Bruce Jones, also of Salem, OR and by his nephew Jim Carlson of Rogue River, OR. Leonard’s remains will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors performed there at 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 24th, 2011. A Celebration of Life for Leonard will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25th at the People’s Church in Salem, OR, 4500 Lancaster Drive NE, Salem, OR 97305-7879.
