Obituary of Marilyn Hanson Hedgepeth
Marilyn Hanson Hedgepeth, 76, passed away on June 7, 2011 in Beaverton. Marilyn was born to Selma and Richard Hanson on November 29, 1934 in Barron County, Wisconsin. She attended Kansas Newman College and moved to Oregon in 1985. Marilyn received a Bachelor of Science and became a Registered Nurse, working as a community health nurse and a hospice nurse. When she wasn’t caring for others, she enjoyed church socials and activities. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, Home Bound Eucharistic ministry and Parish nurse ministry. Marilyn is survived by her four sons, Gordon Hedgepeth and wife Jenna of Tualatin, Brian Hedgepeth of Oregon City, Chris Hedgepeth and wife Helen of Beaverton, and Mark Hedgepeth and wife Barb of Fayetteville; brother Harlan Hanson and wife Kay; sister Judy Mason and husband Gene; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Maryville Nursing Home, 14645 SW Farmington Road, Beaverton, on June 16th, 2011 at 4:00pm. Online condolences may be sent at www.ANewTradition.com.
