Obituary of Dorothy LeOra Cody
August 6, 1914 – June 2, 2011 Dorothy LeOra Cody, 96, passed away on June 2, 2011 in Sherwood. Dorothy LeOra Mott was born on August 6, 1914 in Oberlin, Kansas. She was raised in Oberlin and on April 15, 1934 she married Herbert Elton Cody. She was a stay at home mother and loved putting puzzles together. Dorothy is survived by her sons Boyd Cody (wife, Mable) of Juneau, Alaska, Paul Cody (wife, Millie) of LaPine, Oregon, Dean Cody (wife, Glenda) of Gresham, Oregon; daughters June Dietrich (husband, Dave) of Magnolia, Texas, LaVirl Rice (husband, Jim) of Tomball, Texas, Flo Anderson (husband, Clyde) of Oregon City, Della Wyatt (husband, Marv) of West Linn, Oregon; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Cody; parents Cecil Mott and Stella (Steiner) Mott, 5 sisters and 2 brothers; sons Earnest and Jerry and daughter Maxine. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 5th at the Tualatin Park from 12 – 3pm. Charitable donations may be sent in memory of Dorothy to Providence Hospice. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
