Obituary of Frank E. Bernier

February 21, 1958 – May 17, 2011 Frank was born in Chicago on a cold February day in 1958 to David and Ann (Sutton) Bernier. When he was 14, his family moved to Oregon, where he graduated from McNary High School in Keizer, OR in 1976, and went on to Portland State University. He met an married his wife, Terrie Alexander, on May 26, 1979 in Salem, OR. Frank’s work life included NW Natural Gas Co., Americold Logisitics as I.T. Manager and United Pipe & Supply, again as an I.T. Manager. He was also active in the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, and with the Scouts as Cub Master of Pack 24 from 1987 – 1992 and 1997 – 2002. Among his favorite activities were walking and biking through Mt. Tabor and Laurelhurst Parks, playing with his grandchildren, fishing and watching B rated movies. Frank is survived by his wife, Terrie, son; Patrick and his wife Sherica, daughter; Jessica, son; Nick, sister; Marri Bernier, mother-in-law; Carol Alexander, and 3 grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory should be given to the National Brain Tumor Society. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Portland.
