Obituary of Amanda Jill Hale

Amanda Jill Hale was born 24 May 1975 in Burley, Idaho and passed away 15 May 2011 in Gresham, Oregon after a year-long battle with breast cancer. She was the second of five children born to Steve and Elaine Hale. She went to school in Idaho, Utah, and Oregon, having attended Milwaukie High Scool and graduating with her high school diploma from Clackamas Community College. She took additional classes at Clackamas Community College, focusing on computer programs and office management, which is where she excelled. She worked for Arrow Roofing for the last 11 years as Business Manager. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed white water rafting, dune buggies, four-wheelers and camping. She also loved to travel. Her favorite place to visit was Hawaii and she also enjoyed going to Mexico. She met her future husband, Michael Greiner, while attending Milwaukie High School. They had a daughter, Mackenzie, who was a source of great joy and love and pride. She also leaves a step-son, Mike Greiner, whom she loved as her own. She is also survived by her parents; one sister, Jennifer (Larry) Davis; three brothers, Brandyn (Jennifer) Hale, Nathan and Jonathan Hale. She was also a wonderful aunt to Isiac Hale and Dominic, Isabella, Josiah, Christian, Gabrielle and Sophia Davis, whom she called her "squishies" because she loved to give them hugs. She is also survived by her grandparents, Neils and Hazel Poulson and Barbara Hale, and a great-grandmother, Thelma Weston. There are numerous aunts and uncles and cousins who loved her and she loved them. She was preceded in death by her dear grandfather, Gerald Hale, and precious niece, Isabella Davis. She was a very loving, compassionate and giving person, beautiful inside and out. She was always there for family and friends. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. She is missed beyond words to express. A funeral is to be held at the Portland Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9901 SE Caruthers, Portland, Oregon at 11am on 20 May 2011.
