Obituary of Stephen Bruce Thayer
May 15, 1960 – May 13, 2011 Tualatin resident, Stephen Bruce Thayer, passed away at his home on May 13, 2011. Stephen was born to Robert and Norma Thayer on May 15, 1960 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was raised in Mt. Vernon, Iowa and in Potsdam, New York. He attended Potsdam Central High School in Potsdam and St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. On November 15, 1992 he married Hsili Sui in Berkeley, California. The couple had one son, Jonathan. Stephen worked in retail sales in the agriculture and restaurant industry. He was also a youth sports coach. Stephen was a member of Nichiren Buddhism. Stephen is survived by his wife, Hsili Sui; son Jonathan Thayer; brother Douglas of Bowling Green, OH; and parents Robert and Norma Thayer of Bowling Green, OH.
