Obituary of Ann Marie Scott
Ann Marie Scott passed away in her sleep at home in Portland, Oregon, on May 14, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born the eldest of five children to Ernest and Berta Johnson in Fort Worth, Texas on Septmeber 22, 1920. Ann has been a teacher, a welder (in WWII), a homemaker, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She passed along her love of music to all of her children. She played the piano, violin, and had a terrific whistle! Even in her final days, her cheerful singing and whistling brought a smile to those around her. She was also blessed with an artistic talent that she continued to enjoy throughout her long life. She drew, painted, and created beautiful ceramics that she gifted to her children. She continued to paint with her daughter, Patricia, even in the last year of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Ann is survived by all eight of her children: Charles, Linda, Ray, Ernest, Sue, Patricia, Dan, and Theresa, and by 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Ann will be held in early summer, the precise date is still to be determined. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center - Portland.
