Ida Stiegler

Obituary of Ida Mae Stiegler

Ida Mae (Fish) Stiegler January 20, 1929 – April 23, 2011 Ida was born in San Diego, California to George Leslie Fish and Reitha Louise (Borwick) Fish joining a sister Doris. She married the love of her life, Robert Stiegler on January 21, 1946. They were married 62 years at the time of his passing. For her, life would never be the same without him and she wanted nothing more than to be with him. After raising 4 biological children and 2 foster daughters (that are not or ever were “foster”) they became snowbirds. They wintered in Bullhead City, Arizona and summered at their home in Crooked River Ranch, Oregon. Ida was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Bob. She is survived by her sister Doris Bramley of Idaho, sons Rick of Milwaukie and Rob of Bend; daughters Lorri of Crooked River Ranch, Linda of Oregon City, Carol Ann of Oregon City, and Carol of Prosser, Washington. She also left a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Although she will be missed we rejoice in the fact that she is back in Bob’s loving arms and they are both in the arms of Our Lord and Savior. There will be a service in the home of Linda in Oregon City on May 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Willamette Falls Hospice for their loving care of both Ida and Bob. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Milwaukie.
