Obituary of Earlyne Margaret White Gibson
Earlyne Margaret White Gibson passed away October 31st, 2010 in Lafayette, Oregon at the age of 81. Born January 5th, 1929 in Plainview, Texas, she was married on August 16th, 1945 in Reno, Nevada to Derwood Ray Gibson. The young couple lived all over the country in the years after WWII until settling in Los Angeles, where they lived from 1950 on until moving to Oregon in 1974. Earlyne, a homemaker, enjoyed reading, casino trips, and was active in bowling leagues in the 1960s and 1970s. Earlyne is survived by her husband, Derwood Gibson, and by her sons Kenneth Gibson of Brookings, OR, Larry Gibson of McMinnville, OR and Wayne (Susan) Gibson of Amboy, WA. She is also survived by her daughter Donna (Dave) Beeler of St. Helens, OR. She is further survived by her twin brother Earl White of McMinnville, OR and by her eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Andrea Gibson and by her parents and the rest of her siblings. There will be a private graveside service at Yamhill-Carlton Pioneer Cemetery on Friday, November 5th at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the McMinnville Library.
