Obituary of Everett W. Aulbach

March 12, 1931 – October 27, 2010 Everett was born in Boise, Idaho to George & Marjorie (Galindo) Aulbach. He spent his formative years in Mountain Home, Idaho – culminating to his graduation from Mountain Home High School. He joined the Army and was stationed in Yakima, WA at Hanford from 1951 – 1954. After discharging from the service, he moved to Portland where he completed a boilermaker apprenticeship and worked as a welding inspector and construction welder. In 1968 he met and married Barbara Hollis in Portland. Everett loved hunting and fishing and was an active worker for the Steelhead and Trout Enhancement Program (STEP). He also was a volunteer fireman for the city of Scappoose, raised Shetland Sheepdogs, was still a kennel owner and was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Everett is survived by his wife; Barbara, sons; George Aulbach, Anthony (Victoria) Aulbach, Corey (Marla) Aulbach, stepsons: Rodney (Melinda) Holberton, Curtis (Andrea) Holberton, sister; Elsie Brown, and brother; Russell Aulbach. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Everett was preceded in death by his brother George. A Celebration of Everett's life will be held on Sunday, November 7th, 2010 at the Scappoose Senior Center. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Scappoose on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 8:30 am. There will also be a memorial mass in Mountain Home, Idaho yet to be announced. Memorial contributions should be directed to the Columbia County Food bank. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Portland.
