Obituary of John Edward Witherite
John Edward Witherite, of Milwaukie, passed away at his home on October 19, 2010. He was 78. John was born to Isaac and Amna Witherite on February 23, 1932 in Albany, Oregon. John served in the United States Air Force as a young man, and later on, he went to work as the Supervisor of Distribution for Umpqua Dairy. John is survived by his wife Dorene Witherite; son Mark Witherite; daughters Patti and Lori Witherite; and stepchildren Diane Grina, Cheryl Rizzo, Lori Heinsohn and Randy Grina. A Graveside Service with full military honors was held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Willamette National Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Service held at the Prince of Life Lutheran Church in Oregon City on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 am. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Milwaukie.
