Obituary of Mariane Francis Cox
Mariane Francis (Stone) Cox June 1, 1921 – October 9, 2010 Mariane Francis Cox, 89, passed away on October 9, 2010 in Portland, Oregon. Mariane was born to John and Blanche Stone on June 1, 1921 in Tualatin. She was raised in the Tualatin and Lake Grove area where her grandparents had farms during the 1800’s. Mariane graduated from West Linn High School and married Lt. Earl R. Cox on October 2, 1943 in Portland. Mariane is survived by her daughter Susan Malmquist of Portland; grandsons Christopher Malmquist (Andrea) of Olympia, WA, Michael Malmquist of Dallas, TX, Brian Cox of Lancaster, VA, Avery Cox of Raleigh, NC, Michael Cox of Raleigh, NC; and two great-grandchildren Lucy and Luke Malmquist. A family Graveside Service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, October 22nd. A lunch and memorial gathering will follow the services from 1pm to 3pm at the home of Susan Malmquist. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
