Obituary of Goldie Marie Floch
Goldie Marie “Munroe” Floch, 81, passed away on October 8, 2010 in Newberg, Oregon. Goldie was born to Mabel and Charles Munroe on May 10, 1929 in Portland, Kansas. She moved with her family to Oregon in 1937 and was raised in the Newberg area. On December 27th, 1952, she married Roland Floch in Portland, Oregon. Goldie worked at various places and retired from Allen Fruit of Newberg. She enjoyed growing flowers and plants, the beach, visiting with family and friends and she was a wonderful cook, loved to bake and share recipes. Goldie is survived by spouse Roland Floch; sons Charles Floch of Newberg, Duane Floch and Richard Floch of McMinnville; daughter in laws Angela and Holly Floch of McMinnville; sisters Erna (sis) Barney of California, Bessye Stout of Newberg, Evelyn Knapp of Woodburn; brother Bob Munroe of Roseburg; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Munroe, mother Mabel Munroe, brothers Archy Munroe, Wayne Munroe, Dorance Munroe and daughter Lori Jean Floch. A Memorial Service will be from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 6th at Gibbs Community Center at North East Bell and Quarry Roads in Newberg, Oregon. Memorial contributions may be sent to Providence Hospice and the American Heart Association.
