Obituary of Harold A. Petersen
Beloved husband Harold (Butch) A. Petersen Jr. passed away unexpectedly on August 20th, 2010. He was born 8/31/1954 to Harold A. Petersen and Dorothy Hancock in St. Johns, Oregon. He worked for Owens Corning, the Trumbull site in Linnton Oregon, for 23 years. In 1986 he moved to Sauvies Island where he met his wife Jackie Matthews. They both loved the beauty and serenity of the island, having spent many hours fishing or just taking the dogs down to the river. Everyone who met Butch loved him. He was a kind and gentle spirit with a great sense of humor. He was the neighborhood handyman who was always helping someone. Butch loved his tools and you could always catch him building something...either for the house or for a neighbor. He is survived by his wife Jackie, brother John Petersen, and sisters Donna Farlow and Kathy Harrison. Also, his son Harold (Butch) Peterson III and daughter Tami Flick and grandsons Noah and Cohen. Also, Jackie's son Chris Matthews and his wife Cheri and their children Christopher, Cyrstin and Brandon..they called him grandpa and he loved it. There will be no funeral or service but there will be a family Celebration of his Life. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center - Portland
