Obituary of Mary Eleanor Morgan

Mary Eleanor Morgan, February 1947- July 2010. Resident of Forest Grove. After a 8 month battle with lung cancer, Mary passed away peacefully in her daughter's home in Forest Grove. Mary was born and raised in Greenbay, WI and graduated from East High School. She held a Legal Secretary Certification and was a paralegal at the law offices of Adams and Uffleman in Beaverton, OR. She was an only child to the late, Luella Jacobs. Mary will forever be remembered by her devoted children; Kimberly, Kelly, and Michael, treasured grandchildren; Jasmine, Faith, and Connor, caring in-laws; Brian and Scott, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Mary loved volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and has hosted over 50 Japanese students and teachers from Pacific University in Forest Grove. Mary began volunteering with the Boy Scouts in 1990 and that is where her passion began. She became increasingly more involved over the years and was a Camp Master at Camp Meriwether on the Oregon Coast. Prior to Mary's passing she was given the Silver Beaver Award, it is the highest award a civilian can receive in scouting. Mary loved listening to Neil Diamond, watching Mama Mia countless times, laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends, and volunteering in her community. Mary touched the lives of many people with her smile & generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 18th, 2010 at 2pm at Camp Meriwether, 17500 Cape Lookout Rd., Cloverdale, OR 97112. The family requests that donations be made to the Mary Morgan Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
