Obituary of Clifford Vernon Vick

Clifford Vernon Vick passed away in Aurora, Oregon on August 4th, 2010. He was 87 years of age. Born August 3rd, 1923 in Mekinock, North Dakota to Ole & Mary Vick, Clifford entered the Navy at age 17 where he served his country during WWII. A machinist by trade, he went on to work on aircraft and race cars for many, many years. He moved to Los Angeles in 1953, and retired to Apache Junction, AZ in 1998, before making his last move to Oregon in 2006. He enjoyed golf, bowling, shooting pool and hunting. His children want him to know that they forgive him for his various attempts at cheating during their many family games of Scrabble. Clifford is survived by his daughters Julie Waddell of Woodburn, OR and Janet Griffin of Aurora, OR. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Wind and Myrtle Rummel, both of Minnesota. He is further survived by his ex-wife Gloria Vick of San Pedro, CA. A grandfather of two and great-grandfather of eight, Clifford was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Vick, and by his sisters Alice May, Louella and Evelyn. No services are planned at this time. Funeral arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
