Obituary of Harry G. Beerman
Harry G. Beerman, 92, passed away of natural causes on August 4, 2010 in Portland, OR. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beatrice M. Beerman. He is father of Lori V. Chriest in Seattle, WA, H. Garth Beerman (Sally) in Castle Rock, CO, and Kristie L. Martz in Portland, OR, Grandfather to Darren Chriest, Jeff (Shelley) Chriest, Amanda Martz, Zach Beerman, and Kaleb Beerman, and Great-grandfather to Cody and Cassie Chriest and Sonja Furney. Harry was born on March 22, 1918 to George J. H. Beerman and Edna Anna (Goldfuss) Beerman in Clatskanie, OR. He graduated from Canby Union High School in 1936. In 1941-42, he attended OSC at Corvallis, OR. He worked during WWII as an aircraft mechanic and received his pilot license. Harry piloted airplanes during his career for Morrison Knudsen Co. (Boise, ID), Boeing Aircraft (Seattle, WA), Peter Kiewit & Sons Co.(Omaha, NE), and Rea Magnet Wire Co. (Fort Wayne, IN). After retirement, Harry and Bea moved from Indiana to Salem, OR where they lived for 20 years. A private service will be held later in August. Memorials to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of choice.
