Obituary of Frank Sanchez Padilla

Frank Sanchez Padilla passed away on May 10th, 2010 in Newberg, Oregon. He was sixty-five. Born March 15th, 1945 in Tucson, Arizona (where he also attended high school) he enlisted in the United States Army at the age of seventeen. Frank moved to McMinnville in 1967, and later went on to a career as a millwright and an electrician for Steinfeld’s and as a millwright at Diane’s Foods. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars and canoeing at Haag Lake. Frank is survived by four children, all of whom reside in Oregon: his daughter Melissa Cisneros (and her husband Ray Cisneros) of Dayton, daughter Angela Swailes of Portland, son Joseph Padilla of Lapine and son Francisco Padilla, also of Portland. He is further survived by his brother Manuel Padilla and sister Carmen Padilla, both of Tucson, Arizona. He is additionally survived by his nephew and niece Gilbert Sanchez and Grace Zoellner, both of Tucson, Arizona. Frank is also grandfather to Monica, Felicia and Israel Cisneros. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Vincente & Lugarda Padilla, brothers Vincent and Andrew and sister Riena. A graveside service will be held at the White Dove of the Desert in Tucson, Arizona on a date yet to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
