Obituary of Ila Mae Brewer

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Ila Mae Brewer (Stock) of Newberg, Oregon on December 12, 2019.Born in Earle, AR she and her family moved to Newberg in 1967. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son Earl and treasured canine companion Tuffy. Ila is survived by her children; Jerry Stock Jr of Dayton, OR (Tawnya) , Kim Stead of El Cajon, CA (Jim), Ron Stock of Newberg, OR, John Stock of Dundee, OR (Linda M), Tim Stock of Dundee, OR (Linda L) and Jason Brewer of Keizer, Oregon (Debbie).Known as Aunt Ila, Grandma, Grandma Ila, Nanni, Nana by her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she is dearly remembered.Ila was beloved by her family and the many friends who became extended family. Prior to her retirement, Ila worked for Sunset Manufacturing for 21 years in the Shipping & Receiving Department. She worked at many Newberg establishments; Plaid Pantry, Bowman’s Restaurant, the Barn Door, and Quality Plastics. When not working, she could be found tending to her flowers, finding bargains at garage sales, listening to music – especially Elvis & classic country music, and cooking. She was well known for her delicious cooking ~ Mom’s Potato Salad, Christmas Treats, Burritos, Carrot Cake, Sweet Tea, and So Much More. Many know that anything and everything that had to do with owls warmed her heart. Her most cherished activity may have been taking care of her grandchildren. At her request, no funeral is being held.
