Obituary of James Donald Reuhl

James “Jim” Donald Reuhl passed away on December 5, 2019. Jim was born in Seattle, WA on July 4, 1937 to Harold and Marion Reuhl. Jim grew up in Seattle and Olympia, WA. He attended elementary and middle school in Olympia, WA while living with his beloved aunt, Ruth Reuhl. Jim moved to Seattle with his father Harold and step-mother for high school and graduated from Roosevelt. At 17 Jim enlisted in the Air Force and later the National Guard. Jim worked for Washington State and then King County as a materials lab technician in Redmond, WA until his retirement. When not working, Jim enjoyed football, especially the Seahawks, old cars (restoring many), vacations to the coast, reading anything about Ireland and holidays and get-togethers with his wife’s family. Jim is survived by his children, Brad and Colleen Greenen (Kent) and two-grandsons, Brendan (Rachel) and Ryan. Step-children, Don and Kim (Keith) and several step-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Joyce and many nieces and nephews. His brother, Harold, and sister, Shirley preceded him in death. His wife, Diane, passed away in 2017 after 43 years of marriage. Jim will be interned in a private family ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery where he will rest in peace with his wife Diane.
