Jack Vincent Newman Jr. passed peacefully on November 11, 2019, at 7:40 AM, at the Veteran's Hospital from complications involving a rare disorder. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was survived by his wife, Karin, his daughter, Kara, his son, Jack , and his daughter, Rachael, and his grandsons, Devyn and Richard. Jack grew up in the Los Angeles area with his mother, Georgeann, his brother, Scott, and his sister, Annette. When he was 18, he served honorably in the Navy for a full-term of service, after which he moved to Oregon and started a family. He worked as a cook and as a meat cutter, and was a dedicated worker, often working holidays and overtime. He enjoyed watching sports, his favorite sport was baseball and his favorite teams were from Los Angeles. He loved to play the blues on his guitar, to golf, to collect records from his childhood, and to play with his grandson. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. There is a memorial service being held in his honor on December 2nd, 2019 at Willamette National Cemetery at 2pm.
